Via evolution, everything started as a single celled organism and over millions of years evolution paved way for more complex life forms. Our predecessors were ‘neanderthals’ and had distinct characteristics that we no longer have but have plenty we do still have.

Evolution. An amazing process where little tiny mistakes in copying DNA and RNA sometimes led to a slightly better way for cells to survive, then more little mistakes let to groups of different cells, then more complicated groups of cells working together that led to plants and animals. Its why we are so complicated today and all our bodies systems work, but not really in a straightforward and easy way.
