      So for computers we use a system called hexdecimal colours, each colour is identified by #XXXXXX where each pair is a 8bit count of a contribution of red blue or green. So each colour has a max contribution of 255

      so black is #000000 and white is #FFFFFF

      so with 255,255,255 triple parings we get around 16million different shades, there are no doubt more but your eye wouldn’t be able to tell the difference
