      Acids is a word use to describe a lot of chemicals. It is the properties that these chemicals share that makes it an acid.
      One measure is the chemicals pH, acids will have a pH value below 7.
      It can turn blue litmus paper red.
      It has free protons that it can give to other chemicals.
      It has lots of free hydrogen ions when dissolved in water.
      Some common acids are Hydrochloric acid (HCL), Sulphuric acid (H2SO4) and acetic acid (vinegar).
