Feeling tired is the way of our brain to make us stop doing work and rest, so our bodies and minds could recuperate. During the day our bodies do all sorts of things like moving around, digesting food we eat and our brains learn new things. When we go to sleep because our brain signals that we are tired our body’s activity is minimal which lets us recover.

We get tired because our body is constantly working all the time and sometimes our brain has to tell our body to slow down. Sleep is important as it allows the body to repair things that are broken and to save some of our energy.
