0 Question: why is the night black and not blue? Keywords: colour, night, sky Asked by 683thuc23 to Ryan on 16 Jun 2015.
Ryan Cheale answered on 16 Jun 2015:
The sky is blue because of the light scattering off the atmosphere scatters blue light due to it’s short wavelength, at night there isn’t enough light from the sun enough being reflected from the moon for the sky to appear blue!
